My Journey with the Lung Cancer Vaccine Treatment in Cuba

I found out I had lung cancer about 10 months after the disease had started. Later, I saw on television that there was a lung cancer vaccine available in Cuba.

While researching lung cancer treatment and the vaccine, I came across QBA Medi Tours in Istanbul. I contacted them to learn more about the treatment. QBA Medi Tours reached out to the Cuban Ministry of Health to determine whether I was eligible for the vaccine. Within approximately 10 days, I was informed that I could receive the vaccine-based treatment in Cuba. QBA Medi Tours arranged our flight tickets, visa procedures, and hotel reservations.

When we arrived in Cuba for the lung cancer treatment, an interpreter arranged by QBA Medi Tours met us at the airport. They accompanied us to the hospital and helped us settle into the hotel arranged for our stay. We received the lung cancer vaccines from the hospital in Cuba. These vaccines had to be kept cold at all times. Before traveling to Cuba, we had brought a vaccine bag and ice packs from Turkey to ensure the proper storage of the vaccines throughout the journey.

The lung cancer vaccines from Cuba were not allowed to pass through X-ray scanners. Thanks to our interpreter, who had already been coordinated by QBA Medi Tours, the official prescription provided by the Cuban Ministry of Health was shown to the authorities, allowing us to bypass the scanner. Upon our return to Turkey, we presented the same official document to the authorities and were once again permitted to pass without exposing the vaccines to any X-ray devices.
